Referring to my interview with you on the morning of Tuesday the 6th June 1911 I am now pleased to inform you that I am directed by His Excellency the Viceroy of the Two Kwang to intimate to you that he is pleased to appoint you as legal advisers to the Imperial Chinese Government in connection with the proceedings in extradition cases instituted in Hong Kong upon the understanding mentioned in your letter to me of the
6th June 1911 and upon the further understanding that the
fees to be paid to you in regard to the work done by you under
this appointment shall exclusive of Court or Bard sters'
fees be the sum of $500 Hong Kong Currency for and during
each and every calendar month during which you shall hold the
appointment in question.
It is understood that the above appointment may be ter-
minated either by the Viceroy or by yourselves at any time.
The appointment will date as on and from the 12thday of June
1911.
